After my whirlwind 2 day visit to Hannover, I jumped on a train and found myself back in Munich to scan a few extra blades. They were available, and I had the time, so we went for it. In the end, I managed to capture all of the scans I was hoping to.
Also, I learned this week that it’s massively easier to upload and edit a slideshow from my desktop at home than from my laptop. With that said, here are a few photos from my second visit to Munich.
Here is the room I stayed in Munich during the second stay. It was at the same hotel, but I was on the second floor and had a double bed. I have found that it's typical in Europe that a double bed is just two twin beds pushed together.
The first time I visited Munich I forgot to take pictures of the general tone of the city. This is what much of the parts of Munich I saw were like - buildings close together and relatively narrow streets.
The exception, of course, were some of the main thoroughfares, where there were gorgeous wide streets lined with majestic buildings.
I particularly enjoyed these folk figures standing as columns outside the Folk Museum. Something about having dog headed cloaks was just appealing to me.
One of the sights that my friends in Munich insisted I see was the surfing at the river. Yes, you heard me right: river surfing. Apparently someone set up a wave pool in the river, and now locals come here year round to surf. Kinda cool.
And finally, I thought we'd end on a lovely night sky. Thanks for the good times, Munich.
